They barely wear helmets, yet they lead the world in bike safety 🚲🔥

How is that possible?

Because safety isn’t about gear, it’s about design.
The Netherlands doesn't ask cyclists to armor up. Instead, it builds:
✅ Protected bike lanes
✅ Slower car speeds
✅ Cities designed around people, not vehicles

For many, helmets can be a barrier, especially for kids, casual riders, or older adults.
But when cycling is naturally safe, everyone rides.

To be clear: this isn’t anti-helmet. It’s pro-infrastructure.

Should we shift the safety conversation, from helmets to how we build our streets? Drop your thoughts below ⬇️
