Grocery stores are starting to look more like science labs than food markets.
🍽️ Food isn’t supposed to be unrecognizable.
🧪 Ingredients shouldn’t sound like a chemistry textbook.
🎨 Aisles filled with Red 40, high-fructose corn syrup, and BHA shouldn’t outnumber real, whole foods.
Meanwhile, the actual food—imperfect, nutrient-rich, grown from the earth—is shoved into a tiny corner while 15 aisles of ultra-processed junk take center stage.
I get it—packaged foods are sexy and easy. But at what cost?
🚨 Our health is suffering.
🚨 Our connection to real food is fading.
🚨 Our communities are losing access to actual nourishment.
So here’s what we can do:
✔️ Skip the aisles when you can.
✔️ Pick the funny-looking veggies.
✔️ Shop the outer square of the grocery store—where the real food is.
✔️ Support local farmers whenever possible.
And remember—it’s not about perfection. You’re not going to die from eating cereal or fried food once in a while. Balance, consistency, and a healthy relationship with food are the real goals.
