Glyphosate: The Chemical You Can’t Wash Off.

2.3 billion kilograms of glyphosate (aka Roundup) were sprayed on our food in 2023. It’s the most applied agrichemical in human history.

Here’s the catch: You can’t wash it off.

Glyphosate is systemic—absorbed into the plant and transported to every part of it. This potential carcinogen stays in the food you eat:
🌾 Corn, soy, wheat, oats—heavily sprayed, bioengineered to be “Roundup-ready.”
🥣 Core ingredients of ultra-processed foods? Likely contaminated.
🚿 Washing won’t help.

In fact, traces of glyphosate were found in:
📊 59% of people tested by the University of Galway.
📊 25% of samples contained glyphosate in urine.

Meanwhile, the EU just approved glyphosate for another 10 years.

But here’s the good news: You have the power to choose.

✅ Choose fresh, non-processed foods.
✅ Choose organic whenever possible.
✅ Support farmers who grow food without chemicals.

As I finished harvesting a beautiful crop of organic parsnips this week, grown with zero synthetic chemicals, I felt grateful. The earth gives us so much—we owe it to ourselves to protect it and protect our health.
